Helping to relieve some of the stress

We are a registered UK charity that provides respite holidays for families who have a child with the life limiting illness, Cystic Fibrosis.

We were started back in 1994 by Elaine Tozer, who was inspired to help other CF families after coping with the stresses of looking after her own daughter who was diagnosed with CF in the weeks after she was born.

Elaine understood how difficult looking after a CF child was and the strain it put on the family as a whole. We all know how much a holiday helps us to relax and unwind away from the day to day stresses, this is even more needed when there is the added stress of living with Cystic Fibrosis and all the daily treatments this involves.

Elaine wanted to help other families by giving them a chance to get away from home and relax, spending quality time together and making memories.
We will take care of the booking

Nowadays we help over 200 families to take a break away each year. Each family is referred to us by their own CF nurse or team and we then contact the family to discuss where and when they would like to go.

All the holidays we provide are taken within the UK and we arrange and book the whole holiday for the families, so all they have to do is relax and enjoy themselves.
Our criteria for families

We work with all the major hospitals and CF centres in the UK. The CF teams can refer any family to us that they feel would truly benefit from a respite break. We feel this is the best way to ensure the families we are helping are the neediest cases as the CF teams know each families situation best. We do not take direct applications from families but if your CF nurse is unaware of what we do, please ask them to contact us for more information.
